In summary the island lies about 7 kms (4.5 miles) off the mainland in the Province of Oristano off the west coast of Sardinia with an area of approximately 81 hectares (200 acres) measuring about 2 kilometres (1.25 miles) at it`s longest point and 0.8 kilometres (0.5 miles) maximum width, rising to about 18 metres above sea level (see Google Earth "ISOLA DI MAL DI VENTRE".) The north-west side exposed to the Mistral wind is wild and rugged and the south-east coastline is formed by wonderful coves and beaches composed of spheres of pure quartz.
There is evidence of habitation with wells providing water and the remains of former buildings used by shepherds. We understand it may be possible to combine the floor plates of these structures in order to create a new eco-villa etc.
This would be an Ideal opportunity for a wealthy individual prepared to work to "improve" the island over time the price has been reduced to refelect the current market conditions, in essence the Island can only gain in value unlike over time.
